Little Known Pirates: Bobby LaFramboise
During the 2013 to 2015 playoff run, the Pittsburgh Pirates had a lot of memorable players. One name that may not stick out is relief pitcher Bobby La Framboise. The Pittsburgh Pirates of the early 2010s brought a love of baseball back to a city that was yearning for success. Guys like Andrew McCutchen, Neil Walker, and Francisco Liriano took the field and you knew the Pirates were in a position to compete. However, it takes more than just the stars to make a winning franchise as all 25 men on the roster, and then some, for a team to be successful. One of those guys was a member of the classic Shark Tank and came to the Pirates after being DFA'd by the Seattle Mariners. He appeared in just 17 games for the Pirates over two seasons and posted good numbers in those appearances.
