Henry Davis Checks All The Boxes in Pro Ball Debut
After signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates a few weeks ago, first overall draft pick Henry Davis finally got in his first pro game with the Florida Complex League. He picked up both his first career hit and first career home run and was impressive in his debut. During his time at Louisville, Pittsburgh Pirates' first overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft Henry Davis was regarded as the best college hitter in the draft. During his junior season at Louisville, the 21-year-old catcher managed to hit an impressive .370 with 15 home runs, 48 RBI, and an impressive 1.147 OPS. Still, because of all of the power pitching available in the draft, he was still not the clear #1 option.
