The 2020 MLB Trade Deadline came and went yesterday, with the Pirates not making any moves. Honestly, I am ok with that as they play out the rest of the 2020 season with the team, and prospects, they have right now. Yesterday at 3 pm, I got called into a meeting at work and had to step away from Trade Deadline coverage. The meeting lasted until 4:10 pm and, when I got back to my desk, I expected to see a flurry of updates on which Pirates got moved at the trade deadline. I sat down and saw no ESPN alerts on my phone, and thought maybe the notifications weren't working. A quick check of Twitter would prove me wrong as the Pirates had not moved anyone, other than the two trades they had made in the weeks prior. I was met with a little bit of shock, but also relief that I wasn't having to say goodbye to some of the Pirates I have come to love over the last four years.
