Rule 5 Draft Prospect Profile: Santiago Florez
The 2020 Rule 5 Draft is scheduled to take place on December 10th, 2020, as part of the Winter Meetings and the Pirates have some interesting prospects eligible. We will break down all the Rule 5 players and whether or not the Pirates should worry about losing them or not. It is a fact of life that not every prospect who comes into the Minor Leagues will make it to the Major Leagues. Some just don't have what it takes to make the Major Leagues and others are moved to other teams through trades. When this happens at the upper levels of the Minor Leagues, it can open a hole for a player who may still be in A-Ball or Rookie Ball.
