Pirates Add Prospect Package in Huge Three-Team Deal With Padres and Mets
The big news surrounding the Pirates on Monday night was the trading of Joe Musgrove to the San Diego Padres for a package of prospects. Hudson Head headlines the return from the Padres, with three other pitchers coming Pittsburgh's way. After trading Josh Bell back in December, it was clear that Ben Cherrington and his staff were going to be cleaning house this off-season. That message was pushed further on Monday night when the Pirates traded RHP Joe Musgrove to the San Diego Padres in a three-team deal that brought back a package of five prospects for the Pirates.
